A whole staff CPD that can be either delivered in person, or sent out as a remote CPD if necessary due to Covid-19 or staff absence. This should only take about 20-30 minutes to deliver depending on the amount of detail you would like to go into. This is a CPD resource to be used for training staff in how and when to deal with homophobic/ biphobic/ transphobic comments that take place in the classroom. The CPD could be sent out as an email, could be used in a 15/20 minute briefing, or used as part of a longer CPd session on inclusivity etc. It also discusses what constitutes LGBTQ+phobic behaviour and comments, how to recognise them and when to deal with them. There is some use of statistics from some Stonewall studies to show the prevalence of LGBTQ+phobic language, as well as on the impact of this on LGBTQ+ Students. Please Note: This resource will need some input from the user to reflect the behaviour policy/appropriate members of staff/appropriate sanctions etc (for example, if you use SIMs to record bullying as opposed to using CPOMs you will have to edit to reflect this) *
